Gary Davis joins GridBright as VP of Grid Modernization

Gary is a Vice President and Principal Consultant focused on Grid Modernization. He is a subject matter expert in Electric Distribution Operations & Design, Business Management, Project & Portfolio Management, OMS/ADMS Implementations, Business Process Re-engineering, and Training. He has over 40 years of experience in the utility industry working for GridBright, PwC, UISOL, Bridge Consulting, EnerNex, and Southern California Edison (SCE).

Gary’s tenure at SCE spanned 28+ years in distribution operations in a broad spectrum of utility business activities including project management, computer systems implementations, distribution system design, the management/supervision of construction and maintenance personnel, as well as “real time” operations of the electrical distribution system. He was intimately involved in design, development, and implementation of SCE’s Outage Management System (OMS), verifying the accuracy of over 3,500 Distribution Feeder Maps, digitization of those maps, and re-organizing SCE’s electrical field dispatch operation.

Gary has a B.S. degree in Business Management and certifications in Program & Portfolio Management, Project Management, Electric Power & Distribution and training, and several OMS products. He has co-authored The Future of Distribution System Resiliency, (IEEE paper-978-1-4799-3960-2/14).
