Peter Mackin joins GridBright as VP of Power Systems Studies

GridBright is happy to announce that Mr. Peter Mackin has joined our Developer Practice as a Vice President of Power Systems Studies.
Peter brings to GridBright more than 35 years of power system planning and computer application development experience. Over the last 17 years, Mr. Mackin has assisted numerous developers of transmission and generation projects with interconnection studies, interconnection application development, and interconnection process assistance.
Prior to joining GridBright Mr. Mackin held various senior level technical positions at Utility System Efficiencies, Inc. (USE), Navigant Consulting, California ISO (CAISO) and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E).
In addition to his work responsibilities, Mr. Mackin has been involved in NERC and WSCC/WECC planning and operating activities since 1985. Mr. Mackin is the current chair of the WECC Studies Subcommittee and a member of the WECC Reliability Assessment Committee Governing Body. Mr. Mackin was the vice chairman of the NERC Phase III/IV Standards Drafting Team, which was responsible for revising the NERC Phase III/IV Standards, and a member of the NERC Version 0 Standards Drafting Team that revised the NERC Planning Standards and Operating Practices.
