Peter Mackin Receives Outstanding WECC Contributor Award

Peter Mackin of GridBright, Inc. receives the Western Electricity Coordinating Council’s (WECC) 2020 Armando J. Perez Outstanding Contributor Award.
Congratulations to Peter Mackin of GridBright, Inc. for receiving the Western Electricity Coordinating Council’s (WECC) 2020 Armando J. Perez Outstanding Contributor Award. The annual award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated commitment and support for delivering grid reliability and security goals. Peter was selected for his continued efforts to promote reliability specifically for his leadership with the Reliability Assessment Committee (RAC) and its subcommittee’s completion of the 2018-2019 study program—WECC’s first comprehensive study program since the formation of the RAC.

Peter is Vice President of Power Systems study at GridBright. Peter has over 35 years of power system and grid interconnection planning and computer application development experience and has been involved in WSCC/WECC planning and operating activities since 1985. He is the current chair of the WECC Studies Subcommittee and a member of the WECC Reliability Assessment Committee Governing Body.
The Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) is a not-for-profit organization that works to effectively and efficiently mitigate risks to the reliability and security of the Western Interconnection’s Bulk Power System. WECC operates under a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved delegation agreement with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and in accordance with WECC’s Bylaws.
