GridBright Upgrades EnergyUnited Outage Management System
GridBright helps Energy United improve distribution system reliability, mobile crew management, customer communication, and operation efficiency.
EnergyUnited, based in Statesville, North Carolina, is the largest electric cooperative in North Carolina, serving nearly 125,000 metering points and 105,000 members. It was formed in 1998 by the merger of Crescent Electric Membership Corporation and Davidson Electric Membership Corporation.
EnergyUnited engaged GridBright to upgrade its Oracle Outage Management System in order to improve distribution system reliability, mobile crew management, customer communication, and operation efficiency. The upgrade project was completed successfully meeting all project goals.
GridBright and EnergyUnited worked together to upgrade the system, including a major integration with a mobile workforce platform. By providing the crews with the most current outage and damage information, the solution enables the crews to efficiently troubleshoot and restore outages. The solution also enables EnergyUnited to provide its customers the most current estimated restoration time.
“GridBright’s deep expertise in grid management and systems integration, client focus, and flexibility made them an excellent partner to upgrade our OMS. We look forward to working with them on future projects”.
